Dan was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan a little over half a century ago and claims to have gained wisdom and knowledge commensurate with his advanced age. Dan graduated from the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan in 1983 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts degrees and articled for the law firm, Kohaly and Elash, in Estevan.
Dan moved back to Saskatoon in 1987 and has been practicing law since that time. His general practice includes a special emphasis on Family Law and Real Estate, along with Civil Litigation, Wills, and Estate Law. His general disillusionment with the civil litigation process has contributed to a developing interest and emphasis in the fields of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and collaborative law.
Dan resides in Saskatoon with his wife Heather, his son Micah, and adopted dog and member of the family, Buddy. His activities increasingly focus around his son’s activities, especially minor hockey and ball hockey. He is a member of the Christian Legal Fellowship in Canada.
